Professor Francesca Cornelli is the current Academic Director for the Coller Institute. Professor of Finance at London Business School, Professor Cornelli has a broad set of research interests within the spheres of corporate finance, industrial and transition economics. As a member of the core research team she worked on the inaugural private equity work commissioned by the World Economic Forum – “Globalization of Alternative Investments”. Professor Cornelli is also a Fellow of Centre for Economic Policy Research, Associate Editor for the Journal of Finance, Associate Editor of Journal of Financial Intermediation and Editorial Board member of Review of Economic Studies.

Ann was Executive Director at the Coller Institute of Private Equity for the past two years (2008-2009) playing a key role in defining and implementing many of the strategic initiatives and projects. She has extensive banking experience within the fields of credit, fixed income sales, derivatives and capital markets. She headed credit at CSFB and European Corporate Origination at BNP Paribas. She qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PriceWaterhouse Coopers and holds a BSc (Econ) from LSE and is a London Business School Sloan Fellow. Ann is a member of the Advisory Board.

Senior Consultant, Infrastructure and Private Equity at Aon Hewitt

Hans is a senior consultant in Aon Hewitt's private equity investment management research group where he specialises in infrastructure and European private equity. Prior to joining Aon Hewitt in 2012, Hans was the Executive Director of the Coller Institute, London Business School's private equity research centre. In this role, he was responsible for disseminating academic research in the field and developing collaborations with industry practitioners. Previously, Hans worked in the Global Private Equity division of Merrill Lynch Europe where he was responsible for the assessment of direct infrastructure investment opportunities globally. Hans started his career at Commonwealth Bank of Australia where he spent 7 years across a range of roles, including infrastructure project finance and advisory, relationship management and credit analysis. Hans holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Adelaide and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia.

Tim is a venture capital and clean-tech executive who is also founder and Chairman of Dolma Development Fund – a non-profit impact investor in Nepal and Ethiopia. He is also Chairman of Dolma Impact Fund I – the first commercial impact fund ring-fenced for Nepal. After nine years at Deloitte and J.P. Morgan, and an MBA from London Business School, Tim became Managing Director at listed merchant bank Interregnum plc. He has worked across the energy, renewables, technology and urban development sectors. His projects include launching E.On’s Community Power renewables business and advising governments and private groups on sustainable urban development and inward investment strategies in countries including Portugal, USA, Malaysia, China and India.
